Mercedes C220 CDI W04 with faulty Engine ECU

A good friend of ours asked us if we could repair this ECU.

After we received the Engine ECU by post we found out that the ECU was not repairable, and the surprise was not finished yet.

Apparently a technician tried to clone the data from the faulty ECU which damaged even more the printed circuit board by making it impossible to connect the programmer to retrieve the data to program a second hand ECU.

Luckily we managed to build and match the data for the used Engine ECU reading the data from the immobilizer ECU.

The used Engine ECU was fitted, the fault code cleared and the car started again.

At the end the customer was so happy that told us that he spent months trying get the fault fixed, but every technician he spoke to told him that the car was not possibile to repair unless he bought a new Engine ECU and brought the car to the main dealer.
