My Vauxhall Corsa D doesn’t start!
“My Vauxhall Corsa D doesn’t start!”
These were the first words that we heard when we picked up the phone! Today, we’re going to share with you what the problem was, and what we did to fix it to get their vehicle back on the road.
We went to have a look at the car. There was no crank, and as our customer said, the car wouldn’t start. When we looked inside, the spanner light was flashing on the dashboard, too. We asked our customer if there was anything unusual that had happened before this. ‘A new battery was fitted’, they said.
Ahhh, well, now we know what happened! When we plugged our vehicle diagnostic tool into the car’s computer system, found that due to the bad battery, the car no longer had its immobiliser pin code or key code stored. This is a VERY common problem, we just happened to fix this same issue last week, and it’s not just Vauxhalls that this happens to, ether.
So, what did we do? We fitted a new battery and reprogrammed the car with its immobiliser pincode, and the customers key codes which we obtained from the vehicles CARPASS. With CARPASS, it’s possible to extract all important information to make a set of new keys even if you’ve lost them all, or to program a new ECU into the car.
Don’t worry, either, if you don’t have the CARPASS in your vehicle’s handbook because we’ll be able to retrieve it with our specialised tools (and much quicker and cheaper than main Vauxhall Dealers, too!).
Remember though, don't leave your CARPASS in your car, keep it safe at home.
